High resolution texture packs and HEMS missions

In this section you will find high resolution texture packs for the scenery. They are great if you like to fly small airplanes and especially helicopters low and slow.
Thes HiRes packs require more VRAM, so if you are already running low on VRAM, you might not be able to add these packs.
But you can always try. It wont brake anything and if you suffer from very low framerates or/and stuttering, simply delete the HiRes texture pack.


HEMS mission 1

This package includes an accident scene somewhere in the Helsinki Metropolitan VFR scenery area. Please read the included PDF document for more info of the mission.
Your job as a helo pilot is to navigate to the right location and get the copter on the ground safely. Beware of obstacles like trees, light poles and even drones.
If needed, you can then fly the patient to the Meilahti hospital helipad (EFHY).

This package adds a beatiful high resolution terrain texture for the area, so even if you dont fly helicopters, you might like to pick your favorite GA plane and have a flight over the area.

Downlaod this file. Unzip it. 
IMPORTANT
When unzipped, you must open the file  "HMS HEMS mission 1". Inside you will find a file with the same name.
Copy this file into your "Custom scenery" folder.
"HMS HEMS mission 1" must be over all of your HMS files in your "Scenery_packs.ini" file.
If you have already installed the main package, this will happen automatically.

High resolution texture pack Helsinki (version 2)

New version 2 added. More high resolution areas in the Helsinki area (Melkki, Käpylä, Suvilahti, Kaisaniemi, Kallio)

This file will add a high resolution terrain texture to the southern Helsinki area (area shall be expanded later).
You will be able to see much more detail on the ground when flying over Helsinki.
Simply download this file and copy it to youe "Custom scenery" folder inside your X-Plane 11 main folder.
This file can be at the top of your "Scenery_packs.ini" file. 
If it is below your "HMS E terrain base mesh" file it will not be visible.

Espoo west orthophoto

This file will expand the ortho area to Nummela (EFNU). This is the ortho from the 1st version.
